Bridging the Gap: Female Participation and Policy Innovations in Japan

26 mai 19h00 20h00

Join us for a dynamic session exploring the challenges and progress of women’s participation and leadership in Japan. The discussion will feature the fieldwork of Flavie, a Master’s graduate from ESCP who completed part of her studies at NUCB University in Nagoya. Through interviews with researchers, managers, and young professionals, Flavie has investigated the lived experiences and structural barriers facing women in the Japanese workforce.

Using the SAWA Framework—Situation, Approach, Workflow, and Anchoring— we will walk through a practical analysis of the current state of gender inclusion in leadership, the initiatives being developed, how they are being implemented, and the tools supporting them. This structured approach will highlight both progress and persistent gaps in the system.

We’ll also open the conversation to global perspectives, sharing examples of policy innovations and cultural shifts from other countries to inspire discussion about what might be adapted—or reimagined—for the Japanese context.

This session is ideal for anyone interested in gender equity, public policy, or organizational change—and for those who want to explore grounded, actionable ways forward.

Online workshop, free with registration, reserved for members.
The Zoom link will be sent to you by email the day before the event.
